During this time, you must strategically accumulate the requirements needed for General Skilled Migration (GSM). This includes:

  • Completing a Professional Year Program (PYP) if applicable (Accounting, IT, Engineering).
  • Securing a positive Skills Assessment in your nominated occupation.
  • Gaining 1 to 3 years of post-qualification Australian work experience in your field.
  • Achieving Superior English (IELTS 8.0 or PTE 79+) to maximize your points.

Maximizing Your Points

The Subclass 189 and 190 visas operate on a points test. As an international graduate, you must hunt for every available point. We analyze your profile to identify easy wins: Claiming 5 points for Credentialed Community Language (CCL) NAATI testing, 5 points for Australian Study, and up to 10 points for your relationship status (Single or Skilled Partner).
